Occupation ratings

Tasplan Protect 1

We use three occupation ratings for Tasplan Protect 1 to work out your insurance premiums. The three ratings – 'professional', ‘white collar’ and 'general' – reflect the different levels of risk associated with different jobs.

Professional

Choose this occupation rating if all of these apply. You:

  • are a white collar member
  • earn over $80,000 a year from your profession
  • have a tertiary qualification, are a member of a professional institute or registered by a government body, or are employed in a senior managerial role
White collar

Choose this occupation rating if your duties are limited to professional, managerial, administrative, clerical, secretarial or similar ‘white collar’ tasks which don't involve manual work. You must undertake these entirely within an office environment (travelling from one workplace to another is okay).

General

Choose this occupation rating if you’re not classified as a white collar or professional member.

If you don’t tell us what kind of work you do, we’ll apply a ‘general’ occupation rating, which covers the riskiest jobs and is the most expensive. For more information on insurance and the occupational ratings read the Tasplan Super Insurance guide Tasplan Protect 1

Changing your occupation rating

You can change your occupation rating by completing the Occupational rating - Tasplan Protect 1 form.
